Have you seen the Project Life way of scrap booking by Becky Higgins? It is such a fun idea and I've been wanting to try it for a while.
I first saw this idea half way through 2011 and I've been patiently waiting for 2012 to start so I could try it myself.
So...
here we go!
Day 1
Day 2
Day 3
A picture of me? How did this happen?
Day 4
Day 5
Day 6
Day 7
Day 8
We have been skating a ton this winter. Tons. The kids love it, I love it and it is a great way to get out and get some fresh winter air. They are getting really good too!
Day 9
Day 10
Day 11
Day 12
Day 13
Day 14
Day 15
Day 16
Day 17
Day 18
Look at this kid! This is what I found in my bed when I went to go there myself the other night. I love this boy.
Day 19
Day 20
The kids and I went to Sherwood Park for the weekend to play. Remember how COLD it has been this week? Well, we had complete cabin fever and then Aaron announced that he planned to write (yay!) for the weekend so we left to play. We stopped and surprised Uncle Tanner by taking him home early from school to play with us. Who doesn't like skipping a little school to hang out with us? No one!
Day 21
Day 22
Day 23
So this is how he keeps getting snacks for himself and Hazel. What a monkey!
Day 24
Day 25
I cannot ignore this any longer. I've tried. And I'm completely not an announcement maker but since this little baby gut is just getting bigger I better at least admit it somewhat publicly. Oh, and this photo is me with baby #3 at 14 weeks. Not twins. I actually almost cried when I found out.
Day 26
The kids got Leap Pads for Christmas from their Grammy. I had no idea we would all love them so much. They are great when we have to pick up Aaron late and the kids are tired, or in the car for long drives or sometimes, just on the couch.
Day 27
These were a pair of shoes that a friend gave to Hazel. They were all white with silver lightening bolts all over them. Pretty cute. Too bad Hazel has HUGE feet (sorry girl) so they never fit. I finally pulled them out and Nigel and I added some Red and turned them into his 'Superhero Shoes'. He love them.
Day 28
Coloring. I think this picture is of a Family Tree. The kids color EVERYDAY and no, I don't keep everything. In fact, I pretty much keep nothing...oops!
Day 29
Ever since we moved I've felt like I can't get anything done or get into a routine. Hazel and I finally did something about it and made a little schedule for morning and evening. Its been great, we are actually fed and dressed hours before we have to leave for school which is so much less stressful than before.Day 30
Bread. I made bread every week or two in Kingston but this is the first batch in this house that I actually got some bread made. And it was amazing.
Day 31
Puzzles + being half naked = Nigel.
Everyday.
Masquerade Ball Anyone? Have you noticed that these Monteleone Munchkins love to dress up?
Day 33
My mom gave the kids some flower bulbs to plant and they are growing SO fast. They literally will grow an inch or two every day. The kids are loving watching the progress and can't wait for the plant to bloom.
Day 34
Outside again. Loving this warm winter weather.
Day 35
Spiderman? NO! This is a ninja from Peru. Where does he come up with this stuff?
Day 36
I made the kids these little crayon bags for church. They loved choosing which crayons they were going to bring and when they realized that their little scriptures fit into the pocket for paper they were thrilled. Simple Pleasures.
Day 37
Tooth #3 is gone!
Day 38
Aaron on his way out to squash tonight, and every Tuesday night.
Day 39
Hazel had a filling this morning at the dentist. Yes, her appointment was at 7:30am and school wasn't until 12:30pm but I let her stay home the whole day in her pajama's anyway. Some of you may have noticed that I am an advocate of parent-led-school-skipping.Day 40
We watched our sweet niece Reese for a few days this weekend. As soon as she found the crown and tutu they were on until bedtime. Nigel was loving having someone else who liked to look at her sweet outfits in the big mirror with him.
Day 41
Saturday morning cousin cartoon time. Pajama kids make me happy.
Day 42
This is our plant from above. See how big it has grown? Really though, this picture is to show you that we chopped off Hazel's hair. She asked, I cut and we are all happier. No more crying over tangles in the mornings!
Day 43
Sunday morning bored games. Bed head is mandatory.
Day 44
Oatmeal pancakes! The only problem with making pancakes is that we have to have the conversation each time about "when will it be time to go help Danny and Susie collect sap to make syrup?" It breaks my heart every time I have to tell them that we won't be helping our good friends with syrup this year.
Day 45
Happy Valentines Day! Dessert anyone?
Day 46
I bought this bear for the new baby (probably the only thing I will buy for this kid). I love him.
Day 47
Today I mopped the whole main floor while Hazel was at school. To keep Nigel off the floors I gave him the baby computer and some Handy Manny to keep him occupied. Clean floors again! For now...
Day 48
Nigel setting the table
Day 49
Aaron trying to teach the kids to play chess. Trying. As you can see some kids aren't at all interested.
Day 50
What the heck is this you ask? Its my 5 week meal plan (thanks to some inspiration from my gals). This little book has 5 weeks worth of meal plans, shopping lists and recipes. I've only been using it for about a week and I'm thankful everyday I took the time to get it done.
Day 51
Homemade Fries - baked and when fresh from the oven AMAZING. Not so great an hour later though.
Day 52
Putting the little girl to work. Yes, she has a very sharp knife in her hand and yes, she made the whole salad herself that night. It was scary to watch but she was in heaven. Let's hope this lasts!
Day 53
A pajama mini-picnic? What more can a kid ask for? I had just mopped and so all the chairs were upside down on the table. Just as well though, this picnic turned out to be a blast!
Day 54
The kids went outside. I went to see what they were up to. Shovelling! Thanks moogelies!
Day 55
Nigel really wanted a mohawk. It didn't really work but he was pleased none the less!
Day 56
Do you recognize this sign? Peter's Drive-In, how we love you.
Day 57
Headed to Canmore with my brother and his little family for the weekend. We got to have this cute face around for a couple of days. Lucky us!
Day 58
We went for 'a walk'. It took us 2 hours. It was chilly and the kids were whiny and miserable. Thank goodness for uncles who still give shoulder rides to 6 year old girls. And I promise this really is in the mountains. I'm sorry that the weather doesn't show it. We were sad not to be able to see them too.
Day 59
18 Weeks and feeling it! Aaron gets so mad but I often dream of a preemie baby just to have a short pregnancy again. I know, not worth it but I already feel huge!
Day 60
Finally got my gallery wall up. I still need a couple of pictures but I'm happy with it so far!
Day 61
Reading Scriptures
Day 62
I traced the kids bodies and they had a great time coloring them in. I thought they would be so independent and just color forever but they actually called me back every 3 minutes to add or change something. They had a great time, I sort of went crazy.
Day 63
Flyers. Already searching out the best deals
Day 64
In honor (and to kill time) of Austen and St. Patty's Day that is coming up I have been getting the kids to do themed art. What you see is a lifesaver rainbow. I promise.
Day 65
Happy!
Day 66
Day 67
So much snow! Aaron took them out again while he shovelled. They love being outside.Day 68
A friend came by and dropped off flowers after I watched her kids for the afternoon. What a sweet gesture.
Day 69
Half naked again. This time playing hockey. Why do I buy this boy clothes?
Day 70
We had a couple of cousins came to play for the weekend. Hunter gave Hazel a manicure and Hazel was loving every second of the girly cousin time.
Day 71
Cousin Pajama Snuggles while watching am movie before bed. These guys love each other so much.
Day 72
Morning Yoga. They took over my mat. Little stinkers.Day 73
Baby Baby...This little munchkin was not cooperating at all and it was so hard to get a good picture of him/her. The tech was great though, and we walked out with 9 pictures of the little one.
Day 74
Putting the girl to work.
Hazel and Nigel practising their writing by copying from books. Hazel chose to write from a book all about bugs. Nigel a book of sports.
Day 76
Sunshine! Warmth! It was nice enough to actually dry our swimming gear outside! Bring on Spring!!!!
Day 77
Caught telling secrets. I love the love.
Oh, and as a side note. Here is our new nephew/cousin Ryder. Love those lips.
Day 78
It was warm enough out to go with out coats and for the kids to do some biking. And bike repair.
Day 79
I guess this is what a zombie looks like. I'm not really sure where he gets this stuff.
Day 80
Made the kids these cute bike 'baskets'. They were super fast and easy to make and they loved them.Day 81
Aaron doing some marking. Looks like fun hey?
Day 82
Nigel the Knight!
Day 83
We had some good friends for dinner and Hazel loved every second of playing babysitter.
Day 84
Caught Nigel shaving, his chest...
Day 85
Early morning science experiments.
Day 86
It got cold again. Yuck. Good to see it didn't stop the kids from enjoying a little backyard badminton.
Day 87
I showed Hazel how to do ponytails. She hasn't stopped since.
Day 88
Brush your teeth!
Day 89
The kids and I crashed my parents spring break in Canmore. The mountains make me so happy. I need to live in the mountains again one day. I wish it was soon.
Day 90
Happy 64th Birthday Grandpa! The kids loved opening the presents...
Day 91
Spent some time skiing. Grandma Jan was a great teacher.
Day 91 (again...)
Nigel looked great and loved riding the magic carpet but his poor three year old legs didn't last long. He looks pretty good though!
Day 92
Playing General Conference Bingo. If you want to listen to the talks again here is the link, there were so many great talks.
http://www.lds.org/general-conference/sessions/2012/04?lang=eng
Day 93
The kids declared it a beach day and set up in the morning sunshine.
Day 94
I bought this adorable monster fabric last fall and was going to make the kids Christmas p.j.'s with it. I never did because I found a great deal on fleece p.j.'s instead so this cute stuff has been sitting in my sewing room for months. I finally pulled it out the other night and made them some p.j.'s . I didnt tell them I had done it I just snuck them in their laundry baskets to find when they put away their clothes this morning. They were thrilled. (can't you tell by Nigel's zombie face?)
Hazel was the puppy today.
Day 96
Ok, so this is the same day as before (and the next one is too - it was a fun day) but who doesn't like a puppy who cleans the bathtub?
Day 97
(Puppies dying Easter eggs)
Day 98
Great Uncle Rob!
Day 99
Kisses for Grandpa Barry. Love the sweet moments.
Day 100
Easter morning at our house! I failed at getting any good pictures of excited faces but how about happy sibling faces?Day 101
Aaron gets an Alberta French newspaper weekly. Nigel was on the front page this week! See his cute little face circled in red? He performed with his French preschool class at the final night of Red Deers' Carnaval (Their French Canadian carnival) they were adorable.
Day 102
Hazel always wants her hair curly but it really doesn't hold at all. This time though I covered every single piece with product and it actually stayed curly.
Day 103
Aaron restringing his guitar. The kids were thrilled the next day to find out he could play for them again.
Day 104
Aaron dressed Nigel for church. What a little stud we have.
Day 105
Hazel's recipe for parfaits: cut up fruit, yogurt and brownie crumbs.
Day 106
After dinner tonight I asked the kids if they wanted a cookie for dessert. They both declined and asked for pickles. How are these kids who shut down sugar mine???
Day 107
Aaron getting his racquet ready for squash. So serious.
Day 108
25 Weeks and feeling HUGE!
Day 109
Haircuts today!Day 110
After supper homework/marking/coloring time!
Day 111
I may have been very drawn to the sun on my living room floor. I fell completely asleep and I guess Nigel came to join me. I didn't even realize Aaron had taken this picture until today!
Day 112
The kids went crazy making cards with my scrapbooking supplies. They made quite a mess but their mothers day cards are ready to go!Day 113
Grandpa Barry gave Nigel new T-Ball equipment for his birthday. He LOVES it!
Day 114
It was plus 25 (a rare treat in April in Alberta) and so of course we had to eat outside.
Day 115
Hazels freckles (or sparkles as she calls them) have gotten so much darker in the last few weeks. I love the way they sprinkle across her nose.
She lost another tooth! This one was a doozy and caused her a lot of stress so we were all happy when she finally let Aaron yank it out!
Day 117
Nigel made the paper again. This time Aaron had taken the kids to the library and there was someone there from the local paper.
Day 118
Rainy Day Fun. Coloring, Board Games and the Internet.
Day 119
Nigel turns 4!!! Birthday party friends! (Do you know how hard it was to get these kids to all look at me and smile)
Day 120
Nigel helping with dinner. I am pretty sure I had asked for carrot sticks, not chunks. At least the chunks were cut with the crinkle blade so they were fun to eat!
Day 121
Aaron and the kids heading to bed. What a good looking bunch!
Day 122
Nigel thought 15 degrees was warm enough to try out his new sprinkler. I agreed. He lasted about 30 seconds.
Day 123
Nigel the Knight! New costumes are so fun!
Day 124
The kids have been 'jamming' with Aaron a lot lately. They take turns on the violin, guitar, recorder and these fancy drums.

Day 129
The kids love reading, especially new library books. Sometimes they read until they crash!
Day 130
Happy 10 Year Anniversary!!!We always said for our 10 year we would go on a trip to a place that had a beach and lots of sun to relax on but obviously we are not on a beach in this photo! We had some great friends from Ontario coming out to Canmore for a conference and so we decided that we wanted to go see them more than laying on the beach. The beach can wait, but we had no idea when we would see our friends again.
Day 131
Our friend Carlo had never been to Alberta and this guy was camera happy! We were happy to see how much they loved our province.
Day 132
Lake Louise! (and Aaron)
Day 133
Hiking up to Johnson Canyon with friends!
Day 134
Sarah and Carlo came to Red Deer for a couple of days after Canmore because we had to get back for appointments and life. It was nice to just relax and play around the house. Here is Sarah, all dressed up and ready for the ball!
Day 135
Mac Twins. Aaron spent a lot of time drooling over these babies.
Day 136
We went for a walk at Heritage Ranch where Carlo and Sarah got to pet some horses. I think it was a first for both of them which was such a strange concept for Aaron and I who both have spent a lot of time around the beasts.
Day 137
Last Day. Sad. We had a nice lunch the day that our friends had to fly home at an awesome Thai restaurant near our house. Hopefully we will see these friends soonish...maybe a year or two?
Day 138
The kids and I headed up to Edmonton a day later (Aaron joined us on the weekend) to help my mom get some purging done. I love getting rid of stuff. We were also there to spend some time with my younger brother Austen who is headed on his mission next week and we were lucky to have a new baby nephew/cousin to be born the night before to cuddle and visit. This little guy is Finn. He is only a few days old in this picture.
Day 139
Naked baby cousin love. Reese and Madden, the troublesome two year olds at grandmas!
Day 140

I had a ultrasound today (32 weeks) so that the doctor could find out how big the baby was and to check a couple of other things. The tech I had was awesome and she even ended the session by switching to a 3D ultrasound to show Nigel and I the babies face. It was so crazy seeing the baby! I think it has Nigel's nose.
Day 157
Hazel lost yet another tooth at lunch today! Her count is at 6 and this was a fun one because she now has no teeth in the front.

Hazel and her hand print. I love this girl.
Day 192
Some summer fun, playing in the sprinkler while wearing rain gear and pajamas.

Day 195
A lazy summer morning with the company of a little netflix.
Day 196
One of many beach days. Thank goodness we were able to move near water in Alberta, we like to visit there a lot!
Day 197
Again, who wouldn't love this little man of ours?
Day 198
He is even helpful. Cleaning out the junk drawer, again.
Day 199
I lost a few weeks where I was not taking pictures...oops. So lets jump ahead to baby day! 40 Weeks and on my way up to Labor and Delivery, 30 hours after my water broke.
Day 200
On the drip and waiting for labor to begin. Oh, and enjoying an oreo blizzard while I'm at it.

The four babies that were born this year in the Oviatt Family!
Simon, Ryder, Joses, & Finn.
Day 210
My mom took my 'big kids' for a few days and sent Brittany to take care of my in my post surgical state. We pretty much did nothing at all. It was wonderful. I did manage to take a few great photos of her loving little Joses.

How the babe and I slept to keep warm. It worked.
Day 229
Some of the kids cousins were coming camping but until they arrived the kids made theoir own fun. A rocket to the moon...
Day 230

Day 233
A sign of a great day.

Day 245
I know its seems crazy to say, but I love Glenwood. The view helps. So does the ice cream.
Day 246
Summer is over.
Hazel left us for her first day of grade 1. No picture yet because we all slept in and barely got her there. How about a second day of school picture? or third? We will see what I can manage to do and get out the door on time!
This is what the boys did to pass the time while their sister was off learning.
Day 247
Simon Frank @ 5 weeks. He is getting so big!
Day 248
We went to the park as a family one sunny day, Nigel took his scooter and was having a great time until...see how the path slopes into a huge hill on the right? And can you hear me saying not to ride down it?
Day 249
He didn't. See his arm? That is his first wipe out and he is sure his uncle Kaden will think it is awesome!!!
Day 250
Sunday mornings are a treat with a big brunch that Aaron prepares for us to enjoy.
Day 251
Grade One!! Not the first day though, more like the 5th.
Day 252

Day 254
First Day of Preschool! He loved every minute, especially that there were more boys than girls.

Day 257
Family Car Wash Time! Even Simon was out napping in the stroller.
Day 258
Living across the street from the church is really great when you want to go practice your moves on your scooter/skateboard/bike.
Day 259
I am completely aware at how disgusting this picture is but it is also so funny. I couldn't have gotten this nasty shot if I had tried.
Day 260
After a long day of fun and playing outside we found the kids reading quietly together on Nigel's bed. I love catching these moments.
Day 261
Grammy comes to visit! These three were looking at old videos and pictures on the computer. There was a lot of laughing and remembering to be heard from that chair.
Day 262
Blogging with a sleeping baby on my lap.
Day 263
Family Home Evening. This was the conducting chair and they did not want to give up any control of the evening so they all climbed on.
Day 264
Nigel and I spent the day pulling out all of the dead plants from the vegetable garden (the only thing left are the carrots). The kids have been using the dirt as their own personal play area ever since. I have heard hours of pretend and laughter in the last few days from this plot of dirt.
Day 265
He smiles!!! He has been smiling for a little while but today I finally caught it on camera. Honestly, he doesnt smile much for me and never for the kids (maybe if I could convince them that yelling his name over and over in a high pitched tone isn't his idea of funny he might give them a grin now and then) but Aaron can ALWAYS get this little man of ours to smile and coo. I'm so glad my babies love their papa.
Day 266
Look how he has grown! 8 weeks old tomorrow and getting chunky! This big sister of his is having a hard time with how fast he is growing. She often complains that he is getting too heavy for her. Now she gets how I feel about all of the kids!
Day 267
How big is this kid now?
Day 268
I know its a month early but he was really excited about the Superman Costume we found for him on kijiji to wear for Halloween this year. Just think of this as a little preview.
Day 269
Strawberry Muffins to make my tummy happy.
Day 270
Nigel was doing some pretend face painting for Simon. I couldn't believe how long the baby let him get away with it.
Day 271
Tomato Harvest. Anyone want to come for a toasted tomato sandwich? I'll be eating one every day for lunch for as long as I can.Day 272
Saturday morning cartoons and snuggles in bed. So much more room when Papa is away.
